Change to front merino comfort padding by Pacific Helmets – January 2024

Change to front merino comfort padding by Pacific Helmets - January 2024

To improve compatibility with the new ‘Rescue’ Eye Protector (available as an option for the Pacific R6 Helmets in 2024), Pacific Helmets is changing the design of the merino front comfort pad that is a component of the following models of helmets:

What does this mean for Pac Fire & our customers?
Two additional slots (highlighted in the photo) have been added to the fabric of the B2138602 front merino comfort pad to create a better interface for the eye protector tabs. This does not effect the operation or installation of the B2138602 spare part or the helmet – but there is a visual difference.

Changes to the Underwater Kinetics Torch Holder Clip

Changes to the Underwater Kinetics Torch Holder Clip

In November 2019 the 3AA CPO Underwater Kinetics eLED Torch (UKT10034+) underwent design changes required to gain certification under the revised standard UL913 Edition 8.

These changes resulted in an increase in torch body width of approximately 1mm. This change in size has resulted in the B2066114 Underwater Kinetics torch clip having a firmer fit.

What does this mean for Pac Fire & our customers?
The current clip, B2066114, requires more force to fit to 3AA CPO Underwater Kinetics eLED Torches (UKT10034+) with a manufacturing date after November 2019.

To overcome this issue the torch holder has been adjusted to suit. The updated design, B2066146, will have a slightly larger cavity to accommodate the change in body size of the 3AA CPO Underwater Kinetics eLED Torch. B2066146 will be available in the coming weeks and eventually replace the current model.

The updated B2066146 will continue to fit the other torches in the Underwater Kinetics range (Red Herculite eLED Torch UKT514609-7A+ & 4AA eLED Torch UKT14506).

Dyed-in Helmet Shells & Pacific F3D MkII

Technical Bulletin - Dyed-In Helmet Colour & the F3D MkII

As part of on-going work to improve manufacturing processes, delivery lead times and reduce waste, Pacific Helmets occasionally makes modifications to products. Select Pacific Helmets models have in the past, been available with dyed-in helmet shells. This process means that not only is the helmet painted in the desired colour, but that the colour is impregnated all the way through the composite patrix of the helmet and is visible on the inside as well.

What does this mean for Pac Fire & our customers?
All helmet models will only be available with the standard neutral coloured resin.

The neutral shell will only be visible on the inside / underside of the helmet. The outside remains unchanged with Pacific Helmets high quality, UV stabilised paint to ensure a durable and UV resistant helmet.
