The Pacific BR5 gets a face liftPac Fire & Pacific Helmets making some changes to our BR5 helmet specification to make it more comfortable and add some requested features.

What products are affected?

What’s changing?

  1. REAR HANGERNEW FEATURE BR5 MkII has a nylon rear hanger.
  2. GOGGLE MOUNTSNEW FEATURE BR5 MkII has goggle mounts fitted (previously the helmet was drilled but the mounts were not fitted).
  3. CHINSTRAPBR5 MkII has a 3-point chinstrap for better stability and more points of adjustment for a more personalised fit.
  4. MESH SUSPENSIONBR5 MkII has a mesh suspension system on the headband, designed to spread the weight of the helmet more evenly over the crown of the head when compared with ribbons only.

What does this mean for Pac Fire & our customers?

  • Our heritage model Pacific BR5 (HBR5 CFS), is being phased out and discontinued when current stock has sold through.
  • The updated model, BR5 MkII Wildland Firefighting helmet (HBR5 MKII) is available and has been uploaded to Pac Fire online.
  • Some individual spare parts are changing between models. Care should be taken when browsing spare parts for the BR5
