Wildland Single Layer Nomex Hood

BIB DESIGN

  • Style - A two-piece single layer yoke style bib is sewn to the head and forms a neck seam. The back bib extends 6 inches (15cm) down the back. The front bib extends 6 inches (15cm) down the front. The front and back bibs are joined at the shoulder to form a 3 inch (7.5cm) shoulder seam on either side of the head.

FACE OPENING

Face opening sewn with 3/16 inch elastic channeled in binding.

  • Relaxed measurement - 3 inches (7.5cm) high in centre, 6 3/4 inches (16cm) wide.
  • Fully stretched - exceeds 13 inches (32 cm)

CONSTRUCTION

All seams will conform to those stitch types specified in ASTM D6193.

  • Thread - 100% Nomex
  • Flame Resistance - Method 5903.1, Flame Resistance of cloth; vertical, of Federal Test Methods Standard 191A, Textile Test methods, is used.
  • Results Before Wash - After Flame 0.3 sec/After Glow 11.4 sec/Char Length 1.5in/No Drip
  • Results After Wash - After Flame 0.5 sec/After Glow 13.7 sec/Char Length 1.4in/No Drip
